Somaliland is not part of somalia.
Somaliland was british protectorate independent country and gained independence from Britain on 26, June 1960.
Somalia was italian colony and gained independence from italy on 1st, July 1960.
The two countries united to form somali repuplic.
But that union faces repelsion immidiately from people of somaliland about government positions.
On 18, May 1991, Somaliland declared it's independent from somalia through war.
Today Somalia and Somaliland are like afghanistan and Taiwan.
