CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The countdown to the International African American Museum’s 2025 Jubilee Soiree is underway, as the annual fundraising gala event draws ever nearer.

This year’s theme, “Celebrating a Century of Black Beauty,” aims to showcase the multifaceted expressions of Black Beauty throughout the past century.

From iconic figures and cultural movements to contemporary artistry and individual narratives, the gala will pay tribute to the enduring legacy and evolving definition of Black Beauty from 1925 to 2025.

“We’re incredibly excited to roll out the red carpet for this year’s Jubilee Soiree! It’s our second anniversary, and we’re celebrating in true award show style,” said Ashlei Elise, IAAM’s Chief Marketing Officer in a prepared statment. “With unforgettable performances, show-stopping fashion, and a century of Black beauty on full display: It’s going to be a night to remember. So be sure to dress to impress, bring your best energy, and be part of a night that’s as meaningful as it is glamorous.”

The soiree will feature live entertainment, special guests, a live auction and fan wave, with additional other events also planned for throughout the night.

Proceeds from the Jubilee Soiree will go towards directly supporting the International African American Museum’s ongoing and future exhibitions, educational programs, and community outreach efforts, ensuring that the museum continues to serve as a resource for generations to come.

The event will take place June 21 and tickets will go on pre-sale for IAAM Annual members on May 1.

General admission single tickets for the Jubilee Soiree will go on sale starting May 5. Single and couple ticket purchases will include an annual IAAM individual membership.
