That’s 114 per 100,000. South African national average is 43 per 100,000. So white farmers are murdered at a rate more than double the national average and I could go deeper into the nature of these murders so we could really debate on whether they’re politically influenced or racially motivated. But let’s stick to the stats for now. Idk what I expect, this is SABC after all. I’m sad about all the misinformed dismissive people in the comments…

The reference to so-called race base laws are getting stale. I am still waiting for some-one to tell me what these "race based" laws are. In the meanwhile I will give you a few examples of discriminatory laws from the past, firstly whites were never more than 10% of the population, yet they ruled over the other 90% of people. People of colour did not have the right to vote; they also were compelled to carry a pass with their personal details, with them at all times, otherwise they would have been arrested. Their movement has been severely restricted, e.g. by forbidding them to be in certain areas during specified times; There were also times when schools were forced to only teach black students in Afrikaans; People of colour were sometimes forcefully removed by the government from where they were living; They would not be able to fly on a plane anywhere in South Africa. Public parks were off limits; nature reserves were of limits; they were not allowed to swim at designated "white only beaches" There were also designated beaches for blacks only. In white areas People of Colour were not allowed to enter into liquor stores. People of colour could not represent any of South Africa's national sport's teams, such as the Springboks. There were legislation that enforced work reservation; i.e. that reserved certain types of occupations for whites only. These are SOME of the discriminatory laws that were enforced on people of colour. And let me not get started with genocide that was instigated by the government of the day; Now this is what we call "race-based laws", none of which are applicable to any white person in South Africa today.
