[BREAKING NEWS] Former Deputy president David D Mabuza passes away



Former Deputy President David Mabuza passes away.

Mabuza resigned on 1 March 2023 following the ANC National Conference in December 2022.

Mabuza served as South Africa’s Deputy President since 26 February 2018.

His appointment to the national cabinet followed his election as ANC deputy president at his party’s 2017 54th National Conference at Nasrec.

Mabuza was the premier of Mpumalanga province from 2009 to 2018.

    As a champion of the people, you fought tirelessly for a better life for all South Africans. Your legacy will continue to ignite the flames of hope, equality, and justice.

    You joined the ANC in the 1980s, and from then on, you dedicated your life to the struggle for freedom, democracy, and equality. Your contribution to the fight against apartheid and your role in shaping South Africa's democracy will never be forgotten.

    He worked with former Presidents Nelson Mandela, Thabo Mbeki, Kgalema Motlanthe, Jacob Zuma, and Cyril Ramaphosa, alongside many other comrades, to build a better South Africa for all.

    He was a Principal of the Mpumalanga Provincial Government and later became the Premier of Mpumalanga, driving development and progress in the province.

    You graduated in Education from the University of South Africa (UNISA), and later earned a Master's degree
