South Africa: SAHRC Raises Red Flag On Healthcare Discrimination | World News | WION Dispatch

The South African Human Rights Commission has raised serious concerns over reports that some public clinics and individuals are denying healthcare treatment to people based on their nationality or legal status. Despite South Africa’s constitutional guarantee that everyone has the right to access healthcare, recent videos show foreign nationals being turned away at health facilities, fueled by growing frustration over strained public services. The commissioner stated that this behavior is not only unethical and unlawful but also inconsistent with the country’s obligations under both domestic and international human rights law. Watch in for more details!

  1. No. You guys are lying. We are not denying anybody health care, we are denying all those that want free health care. Remember there is no such thing a free health care. South Africans are paying for what people call free health care.

There are plenty of private clinics that they should go to and pay just like all South Africans do. We are not their fathers and mothers and therefore cannot be held responsible for their health.

They should go back home for their so called free health care if it exists anywhere.

  2. This organisation is why is ot still called SAHRC …it never represents the citizens human rights and why are they on the yax payers payroll ??? They ate always selling South Africans out.

  3. Most civilisex countries will never issue a visa if you dint proof of:

    Medical Aid
Insurance (proof by medical aid co)
    Return flight ticket
    Cinfirmed hotel bookings
Letter by ones host if you are visiting someone.

Their countries / embassies (regardless) must contribute to the welfare of their citizens if they dont have laws to.keep them in their countries. Am not only referring to Africans only but those from.beyond Africa…

They cannot make demands that they could not exerciae in the countries to make a change for the next generation. Do they expect their parents to figut for their rights back home and build their country? On the contrary, they are giving away their birth countries back to colonialism…thus denying themselbes of their own identify.

They owe their children that much.

In SA, eggs had to be broken to make this omelette. Unfortunately its not enough for all the 7 continents..

  4. All zimbabweans, malawi ,moz.pakis, Bangladeshis, somalis , Ethiopians etc .they all want free medicine from SA .SAHRC is a sellout.they are selling SA to their rebel friends.we are tired, they even threatens us and promise to start a war against us . our peacefull country is now filled with Somalis everywhere.Shame on our Government.

  5. But we give South Africans health care. For free in our countries so hw can they do that to people this is human right violation. The authorities need to intervene. Or else we shall also deny them health carer in our countries .

  6. In cases like these where even nurses are in support with these group if foreigners force themselves they will be given go and die home medication. It happened in one Asian country where a colleague got sick and rushed to a hospital where they injected cinayde and he died. So foreigners don't force yourselves
