Seems like Mr. Lumambo contradicts himself, on one hand he said on number of occasions that Africa has to rise up and be self-sufficient in their growth. Now on the other hand he says Ibrahim Traore is a poster boy when he is trying to raise Burkina Faso up and self reliant. It is hard understand Mr. Lumambo
As a 79 year old american, I am loving learning about the countries in Africa. Professor Lumumba is someone that clarifies so much of the past history of so much of Africa. It seems that the people have recognized the intelligence and wealth they own. What a future they have to look forward to. I have found many sites where I can discover more of this amazing continent.

A deal that would've allowed America to continue mining under knew certain circumstances . This deal could've allowed the raw minerals to pay some of the reparations . Thank you for the lecture.
You rightly pointed out that the savior of Africans are Africans themselves. No one man can save us, we must collectively decide to save ourselves. Russia is not our solution neither are we to crawl back unto the laps ot our colonial masters. We must collectively seek friends & partnerships on our own terms. The books written by the likes of Kwame Nkrumah must be part of African schools curriculum. That way, the next generation can understand what those great men did right, where they got it wrong & then forge ahead on the part towards perfection of Pan Africa. One thing is certain, we must keep the idea of pan Africanism alive & active. Let us make no mistakes, the great man of old who once seeming said, until Africa as a continent becomes respected every man of African decent will have no respect regardless of one's place of birth – be it America, Australia, Europe, Islands or Africa.
So all hands must be on deck, to achieve the an Africa where every man will have the opportunity to self determination & actualization.

For an "African American" Ibrahim Traore represents the power and courage I wish I saw in many of our so called, self serving, black leaders. Hopefully, in one way or another, sooner rather than later, we find our own version of Ibrahim Traore!
Point of correction Professor, Russia never supported Mugabe during the liberation war. Yes they supported Nkomo. There are some sad episodes of our history that we can't avoid. Long live Africa, Long live Ibrahim Traore, Long live Vladimir Putin, Long live Russia, Long live BRICS.
