HIGHLIGHTS FROM TODAY’S SHOW:
Store manager Kalisa Danclair dies after car plunges into Oropouche River in Penal
• A 30-year-old woman lost her life in a tragic road traffic accident in Penal on Monday night, after her car crashed through a bridge barrier and plunged into the Oropouche River.
• The victim has been identified as Kalisa Danclair, a store manager employed with HADCO Limited, of Prince Street, Siparia.
• According to police, around 9:30 p.m. on Monday July 28th, officers from the Penal Police Station received a report of a serious accident at Debe Trace. Responding officers, W/Ag/Cpl Hendy, and PC Bahaw were dispatched and met fire officers.
• The officers reported that around 9:00 p.m., residents heard a crash and later discovered that a silver Toyota Axio, license plate PDX 6311, had veered off the road near Rahamut Trace, obliquely opposite the Lord Shiva Mandir. The car struck and destroyed about ten feet of the bridge’s steel barrier before plunging into the river.
• Danclair’s body was recovered from the submerged vehicle with assistance from Fire Services, residents, and members of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team. The wreckage was later pulled from the river by Collins’ Wrecking Service.
• District Medical Officer visited the site, pronounced Danclair dead, and ordered the body to be taken to the San Fernando General Hospital Mortuary, where an autopsy is pending. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
Gunman calls out to Arima man before opening fire in late-night shooting outside his home
• A 23-year-old man was shot and killed outside his home in Arima on Monday night, shortly after a gunman called out to him.
• Around 11:40 p.m. on Monday July 28th, 2025, officers of the Pinto Police Post responded to a report of a wounding at LP 51, Maturita Extension, By-Pass Road, Arima, issued via the E-999 Command Centre.
• Upon arrival, officers were informed that around 11:35 p.m., the deceased, Mikhail Campbell, was liming with friends and relatives at his home when an unidentified man approached the premises and called out to him.
• Campbell walked towards the individual when several loud explosions were heard. He was found bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
• At approximately 11:40 p.m., he was rushed to the Arima Health Facility, where he was pronounced dead at 11:44 p.m.
• Campbell resided at 3¼ MM Maturita Extension, By-Pass Road, Arima.

Masked, armed men rob Kads Supermarket in Tobago amid nationwide State of Emergency
• Three armed and masked men stormed Kads Supermarket in Tobago around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, July 28th, 2025, staging a brazen robbery despite the ongoing State of Emergency across the country.
British psychiatrist ambushed, beaten and robbed of gold jewelry, cash near cemetery
• A 55-year-old British national was violently robbed while walking near the Woodbrook Cemetery in St. James on Monday evening.
• Around 6:10 p.m. on July 28th, the victim—a UK citizen residing in St. James—was walking west along Mucurapo Road when he was accosted by two men. The suspects assaulted him, beating him about the body before robbing him of several personal items.
• Among the stolen belongings were an iPhone 7, a gold chain, a gold bracelet, his side bag containing his UK driver’s permit, ID card, €80 in cash, and TT$150.
