This comes as the U.S. doubled its bounty on President Nicolas Maduro to $50 million, accusing him of narco-trafficking. The naval force includes the USS San Antonio, USS Iwo Jima, and USS Fort Lauderdale — all capable of launching helicopters and Tomahawk missiles. Analysts say the move is “too big to be just about drugs, too small for an invasion.”
