I’m a black man from Detroit and I’m gonna say the painfully obvious we are not a reliable voting block. Go back to when Barack Obama first ran for office and look at those voting lines where people stood in line for hours to vote in minority communities. Now, ask yourself this where did all of the minority voters that look just like you and me? Where did we go? Did the aliens come and grab us? Did we suddenly turn Republican? Or did we just not vote out that’s what happened we just didn’t vote. When government didn’t do anything for us more people who look like you and me got mad we said dammit. I’m really not gonna vote now. Government doesn’t do anything for me. The reason why the government didn’t do anything for you you didn’t have enough people in government who supported you more people who looks like you and me needed to vote to put more people in office who would support policies and legislation the favorite one we would like. Barack Obama try to get quite a few things done that would help our community. He didn’t have enough people in government that could help him. He needed even more senators, even more congressman in Congress women and when he said come on come vote, help me out we didn’t show up
After the 2008 election Republicans were scared and shaking in their boots. They literally saw congressional districts that were never at play flip democrat, and they thought they were on the losing end of things long-term. They said how are we going to switch this up long-term? We only showed up for one election cycle. That’s it if we had bothered to show up for just a few election cycleswe wouldn’t even have this Republican party that currently exist so don’t blame the people in Congress for not getting what you want. We don’t show up and vote for them not in numbers that we need to be honest about it. We truly know.
