THURSDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER 2025 – CRIME WATCH LIVE
A man was shot and killed while seated in the driver’s seat of a white Audi along the Carlsen Field Main Road on Tuesday, September 17th, 2025.
• The deceased was identified as 53-year-old Raidal Persad of Tigress Road, Riverview Park, Montrose, Chaguanas.
• Around 5:45pm, officers were on duty at the Freeport Police station when they received a report of a shooting at Pipecon Road, Carlsen Field.
• When they arrived at the scene, they observed a white Audi registered PCY 7025 at the side of the roadway.
• Upon further investigation, they discovered Persad slumped over the driver’s seat, bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds.
• The officers summoned a DMO who viewed the body, made a pronouncement and ordered it be removed from the scene.
A death at the Palo Seco Secondary school forced an early closure on Wednesday 17th September, 2025.
• It is reported that a cleaner collapsed and died at the school earlier today.
Man found dead after house fire in Longdenville
• Police are investigating the death of a man following a house fire along Fletchers Road, Todds Road, Longdenville, early Tuesday morning.
A Man identified as Kenneth Taylor, aka “Oney” was found Hanging in Bethel, Tobago on Wednesday 17th September, 2025.
Terrible accident involving a Truck occurred near Bhagwansingh, Chaguanas, on the southbound lane of the highway earlier on Wednesday 17th September, 2025.
Tree collapses on Mayaro pensioner’s home
• A 73-year-old pensioner from Mayaro is counting his blessings after a tree collapsed onto his house, causing significant damage but sparing his life.
• Anthony Allsop of Bonkers Hill, Guayaguayare Road, Mayaro, was at his home when a large tree suddenly gave way and crashed onto the structure on Tuesday September16th, 2025.

• A police officer was reportedly locked inside a classroom at Preysal Secondary School on Friday, September 12th, 2025, after students allegedly threw away the key.
Two brothers shot and wounded in Arima
• Police are investigating a shooting incident in Arima that left two brothers wounded on Tuesday night.
• Around 7:20 p.m. on September 16th, 2025, 37-year-old Joel Hernandez and 35-year-old Nicholas Hernandez, both of Samaroo Village, Arima, were liming near their home with another man, when they were approached by a gunman.
Man linked to getaway car in Malabar supermarket shooting identified— wanted by police
• Police have identified the man rented the silver Nissan Tiida used in the attempted robbery and shooting of a security guard outside a supermarket in Malabar, Arima.
• He has been named as Keron Figaro, who is linked to addresses in Wallerfield, Belmont, and Malabar.
