Venezuela has launched large-scale military drills on La Orchila Island, dubbed “Caribe Soberano 200.” Ordered by President Nicolás Maduro, the exercises feature Sukhoi-30 jets, naval fleets, amphibious tanks, and beach landings. Defence Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez said the maneuvers highlight Venezuela’s sovereignty over the Caribbean territory. The three-day operation comes as tensions rise with the United States.
