CNN visits Goma after rebels took eastern DRC city

US President Donald Trump said he has “settled” the conflict between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The ‘peace deal’ signed in Washington in June came after an armed group known as M23 – allegedly backed by Rwanda – took control of two major cities in eastern DRC, Goma and Bukavu, at the start of the year. However, many armed groups in the DRC are still fighting. In this exclusive report from rebel-held Goma, M23 says it won’t stop until it reaches the country’s capital. Rwanda denies backing the rebels. #CNN #News

  1. J.F Kennedy (democrat) was in power in 1961 when P.E Lumumba Congo’s first prime minister was assassinated, Bill Clinton (democrat) was in power in 1997 when Zaïre was burned to the ground by democrat backed Rwandans rebels and now CNN is doing propaganda for M23 (Kagame’s special forces) I hope president Trump will put an end to the silent genocide happening in DR Congo right now.

  2. We understand Moise is behind this goo supporting these peoples , same word katumbi used too . There is no minerals in Congo .

Thisekedi does he need his own mines to have an agreement of win win between countries ???
Again it justify that these people (M23 and rwanda ) took Goma for money , because if Tshisekedi don’t have means they have ?
Individual have mines that was supposed to be for the country .
Guys be wise and understand how these guys (m23)are á danger to our country

  3. And if he said this war is about tshisekedi what about before tshisekedi
And the tragedy is since decade . This guy nanga is Just a piece within a plan that is use because of his anger against Tshisekedi government who took back all the mines that was supposed to be for the country Amd he took it illegally ,That where nanga anger comes from is just a greedy and selfish man who watch out for the illegal mines he was confiscated to him because he didn’t own it

  4. Why don't you repport how drones are shooting in Minembwe where Innocent people are killed everyday, you don't want to show the world what is the source of the problem you are there wasting time.shame on you.CNN is a fake news

  5. Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you in grief and mourning, on behalf of my fellow citizens who have fallen victim to violent and unjust repression.

In recent days, Malagasy citizens have taken to the streets peacefully, carrying only cardboard signs to express their indignation. They were completely unarmed and non-violent. Yet, the army and security forces responded with tear gas and even live ammunition. Several demonstrators, including people who were simply returning home, have been killed.
Meanwhile, looters and thieves – often acting with the complicity or protection of the authorities – are left untouched. The army takes no action against them. Instead, it turns its weapons on innocent citizens. This is a blatant violation of the most fundamental human rights.
I urgently appeal to you to document, denounce, and take action regarding these abuses, and to hold those responsible accountable. We need the support of the international community so that justice can be done and the repression can stop.

    With respect and hope,

  6. But when u go to kinshasha will ublead the whole of congo,? 7. HIMA TUTSI EMPIRE

The current fighting in Eastern DRC reflects more than local tensions — it reveals a broader geopolitical struggle. Western powers appear to be backing groups like M23/RDF and leveraging media narratives to secure influence over the region’s vast mineral resources. If this plan comes to fruition, neither the Congolese nor the Rwandan people stand to gain; rather, they risk being sidelined in decisions about their own future.

  8. Shisekedi is a joke. He is responsible for the chaos currently reigning in DRCongo. He has taken a series of unilateral decisions aimed at serving his own interests and those of his circle of friends and family. Not only is he incompetent and a liar, but he has also set up a corruption machine unprecedented in the history of RD Congo. His regime embodies bad governance, tribalism, nepotism, sexual immorality.

  9. You nanga and tshisekedi leave us we don’t need you both we need someone like Ibrahime Traoré 🇧🇫 is a good leader our youth exemple 🇨🇩🇨🇩 may God hear my prayers help Africa and DRcongo 🇨🇩🙏🏽
