Caribbean Nations Launch EU-Style Free Movement Deal Across Borders | Firstpost America | N18G

On October 1, 2025, Barbados, Belize, Dominica and St. Vincent and the Grenadines launched a historic EU-style free movement agreement. Citizens of these four Caribbean nations can now live, work and settle indefinitely across borders without visas or work permits. Families gain access to education, healthcare, and other essential services, marking a significant expansion from previous CARICOM mobility rules, which were limited to skilled workers or short-term stays. The agreement aims to strengthen regional integration, retain skilled professionals, and create more opportunities within the Caribbean. Security measures are in place to prevent misuse, while authorities retain the right to deny entry to threats.

  1. Do not fall for it. Look at what happened to the Europeon Union. You will lose your freedom and be ruled by a small, elite that will dictate everything in your life. Open borders, over regulations, high taxes…

  2. As a first-generation American 🇯🇲/🇹🇹 I love this initiative. It would be great if first-generation foreigners (especially those who are skilled/educated) could be included in such an opportunity. I think that would be ground breaking.

  3. The global south energy independence through various forms of renewable energy: solar panels, hydro energy and wind turbines will destabilize the U.S. dollar as the world currency.
    How ?
The global south has to purchase refined oil in U.S. dollars; forcing the global south to devalue their own domestic exports just to obtain foreign U.S. dollars..
Solar & wind energy generated domestically frees the global south from colonial economic slavery.
The abundance of renewable energy provides clean energy to build industry, education, healtthcare and provide services for the people.

  4. What is with the lame, horrendous AI voice???? You can't hire a human? Someone who can pronounce the names of these countries and their leaders properly? On top of the stock footage from non-Caribbean locations. Do better! Can't finish this video!

  5. As a trini, I'm ready to relocate to Bim, Ms Mottley is my PM in my heart already 🥹 very proud of these four countries. I wonder why Jamaica and other islands are not involved
