Religion is actually an institution created by the world. Christian is not a religion. Etymologically, Christian is a follower of Lord Jesus Christ. If someone claims to be a follower of Lord Jesus Christ, he or she must bear His cross. Many non-Christians and even Christians themselves still think that following Lord Jesus Christ is the key to love, blessing, salvation and eternal life. Yes, it's true. However, following is easy. To persist in following no matter what happens is difficult and even deadly. Lord Jesus Christ loves His followers to death. And, in turn, Lord Jesus Christ wishes His followers loving Him to death too. The phrase “loving Him” means loving our fellow men—as this a new commandment (vide John 13:34). If we die because of Lord Jesus Christ, it connotes we die for loving our fellow men as Lord Jesus Christ orders us to. If we die for loving our fellow men as Lord Jesus Christ orders us to, it connotes we die for the love of Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, we have to stay strong in our faith. And this is how we pray “Our Father in Heaven, please forgive us for our sins and remind us to forgive others who have wronged us. Please do not lead us into temptation. Although we have to go through trials, please strengthen us so as to we can persist in following You. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray to You, Our Father in Heaven. Amen.”
