Seven people have been shot dead in Philippi East on the Cape Flats last night. Police spokesperson, Andre Traut says the attack happened last night in Road 53 near Better Life. He says police have launched a large-scale manhunt to find those responsible. Traut says the motive for this attack is unclear and no arrests have been made.

Just wondering: if government provided a transport system such that the public in the affected areas wouldn't depend on taxis, would the violence not stop or be reduced at least? Taxi owners seem not to care about customers. If a canned food producer recklessly endangers customers they are penalized or loose their license. The same should go for taxi owners.
