How U.S. military strikes on boats in the Caribbean have impacted Trinidad and Tobago

U.S. military strikes on alleged drug boats in the Caribbean this year have sparked fear and concern in areas like Trinidad and Tobago, where locals are questioning who is being targeted.

One of them is Chad Joseph — a 26-year-old local fisherman who, according to his family, went to Venezuela for work about six months ago. He had told them he was returning to Trinidad the same day a U.S. strike took place, and since then, they haven’t heard from him.

  1. He was out somewhere on the same day they sank the boat, so he was probably killed on the boat. Showed up next day but we forgot to mention that. Plus,he’s a fisherman & lives in a 2million dollar mansion…hard worker. Plus, even if he was a drug smuggler he’s black, so he’s automatically innocent. SOS…different ‘Reporter’.

  2. "Without a body" means without any evidence that this relative was killed aboard this boat. Great spin, NPR 😂😂😂

No one goes to Venezuela for work unless that work involved smuggling drugs.

  3. So they assume their family member was on that boat with trust me bro. And the US Govt blew up that boat suspected of narco trafficing with trust me bro. And the NPR reporter was like two of these events are related, trust me bro. With this level of reporting maybe NPR should get defunded.

  4. It's great that you have reported on this situation in a proper, truthful, and in-depth way. Also, to include Trinidad and Tobago, who are in the middle of it all. It seems to me that the likes of the BBC and Sky news always struggle to mention Trinidad and Tobago in any important news headlines. Unless it's about local crime or something negative against these Caribbean countries.

  5. Well you continue your mission President Donald trump most respectable for what you are doing, I had a friend years ago went fishing from deep down south Icacos area never came home. Who knows what happens to him , till this day no one knows what really happen it’s ashamed. Kept the American drones and whatever it takes to keep the druggies out of Trinidad .

  6. I want to know what Nicki has to say about the bodies washing ashore in Trinidad and how the fisherman are scared to go out to sea to fish because of what trump is doing. They don't want him to bomb them. There are already reports that at least one Trinidadian has probably lost his life because of the bombings. She is getting involved in what I feel is a grab for resources like oil and there is another that is mostly found in Nigeria that is used in phones. China has been in Nigeria sniffing around now trump wants in. What is going on is way more complicated as Muslims are being murked too. But nicki loves a predator 🤷🏾‍♀️
