Protests in Cameroon As Paul Biya’s Opponent Issa Tchiroma Vows To Resist | Firstpost Africa | N18G

Tensions are rising in Cameroon after 92-year-old President Paul Biya secured another election victory, extending his rule that began in 1982. Opposition leader Issa Tchiroma Bakary claims he won the vote, sparking nationwide protests that have turned violent.
Security forces have clashed with demonstrators in Douala and other cities, with reports of deaths, arrests, and unrest spreading. The government accuses protesters of inciting rebellion, while rights groups allege inhumane detentions and use of lethal force. Will the growing anger among Cameroon’s young population challenge Biya’s decades-long hold on power?

  1. It’s time for him to step down he’s too old to run Cameroon his wife is the one running Cameroon and stealing the people’s money go and check all overseas bank accounts I bet you they have trillions of dollars in the accounts and check for land records of purchasing under there children’s and grandchildren’s names and let’s see what they have!😔😡

  2. If the incumbent president want this protest to stop, he will do one thing, just host a free night party with free ladies and every male Cameroonian will abandon this protest 😢😢 I know that Cameroonian men love women and part more than anything.
