  6. Zuma & the ANC has let black South Africans down especially during his tenure in office as President. For 30yrs they have failed to empower & deliver to South Africans according to every Africans expectation. The ANC as a whole failed set blacks free from the shackles of slavery, apartheid & white monopoly capitalism. The ANC failed to educate, train, provide the necessary skills into, lift from poverty & equip the majority black youth to participate in the upliftment, development, creation of jobs & South Africa's economy. Zuma & the ANC failed to maintain the then & present existing key infrastructure of the country including agriculture, houses, roads, railways, buildings, tertiary institutions, mines, key industries, water & sewer reticulation amongst other things. However, the ANC managed to loot the country's thru corruption & under the guise of black empowerment for themselves to become billionaires while the majority of South Africans perish in abject poverty thus creating a big gap between the haves & have not. Leaders of the SAHEL STATES must careful of wolves like Zuma who opportunists & selfish. He shud have retired by now but bcos if greed, he has defected from the ANC to start the political party called uMkhonto Wesizwe (MKP), which is dominated by his kids & peers. Does that look like a pan africanist to you? Africa be careful.

  7. If Africans really to develop accordingly & grow their economies, their govts must consider comprehensive upskilling of their citizens to take care of the present & future infrastructure (I.e. asset management), vote for leaders that wud agree to educate their own children in local schools & institutions as well agree to be treated in local hospitals but not abroad. Also every politician must declare his/her assets on yearly basis while in public office, over & above all these politicians must held accountable & be aware that 'they are the servants of citizens of that particular country but masters or bosses. Furthermore, they must be stripped or deprived of any benefits for any wrong doing while in office etc. Any resources of the state such as mineral resources must mined & processed locally to add value, create needed jobs thru beneficiation. Lastly but not least, leaders must seek a mandate from the citizens before attending summits or conferences that will impact or affect the lives of those citizens for that particular country. No leader must be allowed to attend a summit or conference on behalf of a country without the approval its people or citizens. The same must be done for foreign aid so called projects & programmes. African states must strategise with a view to capacitate themselves in key technological areas that they deem important & necessary for them to develop such as drawing from the lessons of Africa being unable to produce medicine for COVID19 in the entire continent. For instance, the so called AFRICAN UNION (A.U.) can audit the different member states with view to determine the potential & strength of each member state to be assigned to concentrate & be allowed to process or producethat raw product locally rather than being done abroad. For example since Zambia mines copper, it produce & process it locally; either South Africa or Zimbabwe can mine & process Platinum locally; Botswana can mine & process Diamond products etc. This model of approach can be able even other sectors to include agro products, electronics & IC technologies, telecoms, aviation, energy, medicine, hospitals, research & innovation, exchange programmes, engineering & science hubs tasked to those African states that seem better equipped than others in interim while others strive to develop to capacitate themselves later. The A.U. shud source funds for such endeavour & ensure that this process is done transparently & equitable with a clear time frame & proper fair handling of likely future possible conflicts. This my take little contribution. To succeed in yhis, African states need to carefully identify their needs as a whole using perhaps the 'SWOT ANALYSIS' , identify the particular African country that has the potential, capacity or capability to carry out the task of producing that particular item cheaply, accordingly & sustainable etc. You have heard or seen how China has developed, why can't you do so? Africa unite for a purpose not bcos you are mimicking the E.U. Decolonise your mind, please the time is now. Africa is nolonger a baby , it must there feed itself. Viiva
