Guinea-Bissau Army Seizes Power, Arrests President Embaló, Imposes Curfew | Firstpost Africa | N18G

The West African nation of Guinea-Bissau has been thrown into turmoil after the army seized power, arrested President Umaro Sissoco Embaló, and shut down national institutions. Heavy gunfire was reported near the presidential palace as military forces took control, suspended the electoral process, and briefly closed the country’s borders and airspace. The coup comes just days after the disputed November 23 presidential election, deepening political instability in a nation long plagued by coups and drug trafficking. Regional and global bodies, including ECOWAS, the African Union, and the United Nations, have expressed concern and urged a swift return to constitutional order.

  2. Instability has been commone in Africa especially African countries that practices this fraudulent thing called democracy as those in power are not in control of their country's resources and they are only puppets to the west. We do not want that anymore in Africa. Africa wants to meet up a bit with advanced countries.

  3. What's wrong with Africans and their greed? What's wrong with them and their stupidity? Nobody in the world wants them but they still mess up their homes and remain homeless and income-less.
