US Defense Secretary Hegseth issued kill order after strike on Caribbean boat, reports say

The US military conducted a follow-up strike on a boat in the Caribbean that it believed to be ferrying drugs, killing survivors of an initial missile attack, US media reported Friday. Prior to the operation, the troops had been given a directive from US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to kill everyone on board, the Washington Post and CNN both reported, citing unnamed sources familiar with the operation. 1. As a former US Coast Guardsman, I find this horrifying. We never had problems boarding vessels, confiscating drugs, arresting crew and investigating source of drugs. Hard to do an investigation when everyone is dead. Back when I joined, the primary mission was to”preservation of lives and property at sea” we did not care where you came from. We only wanted to help.

  2. Those boats are carrying cocaine not fentanyl. And they are still ignorant of Why the World Hates the 🇺🇸 USA. This war monger Pete Hesegth has a Knights Templar tattoo on his body. That says a lot about his bad character – he’s a war monger.

  3. FACT: "Any second attack on shipwrecked individuals who can no longer fight is illegal under international humanitarian law and U.S. law. Under the Geneva Conventions, survivors in the water are hors de combat and must be protected and rescued, not targeted. A follow-up strike on these incapacitated people violates the no-quarter rule, the duty to care for shipwrecked persons, and U.S. Rules of Engagement, which allow lethal force only against an active threat."

Under 18 U.S. Code § 2441 (War Crimes Act), intentionally killing shipwrecked or defenseless persons is a federal war crime. Criminal liability can fall on:

The commander who orders the attack,

Any higher official who authorizes or approves it, and

Any operator who knowingly carries out a manifestly unlawful order.

  4. This is the Trump administrations lame attempt to justify a land invasion of Venezuela so as to implement a regime change and gain access to Venezuelas resources. Plain and simple.

  5. Really…you feel sorry for smugglers, good American citizens don’t you see that nobody before took the problem seriously enough. Sorry, two people died because of this action, but what about tens of thousands of American families messed up because of the drugs , what about children , young people etc who die because of the drugs?. Children left without parents , parents left without children so many broken hearts , because of the drugs . Fight for your own . President Trump is fighting a war against drug dealers, nobody before was brave enough to do it .
