Family files first known complaint over deadly boat strike

The family of a Colombian man believed to have been killed in a US strike in the Caribbean has filed what’s believed to be the first complaint against such attacks with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR). The petition, filed by US human rights attorney Dan Kovalik, alleges that Colombian fisherman Alejandro Carranza was killed when the US struck his boat off the coast of Colombia on September 15. #CNN #News

  1. Who cares what is the point… there is no more hope in the Justice of the United States of America as we can all clearly see that Donald Trump and his Administration can do whatever they want and get away with anything they want and can pardon whoever they want just like they pardon the major drug trafficker from Honduras.
This is very sad to say but there is no more hope in the justice of the United States of America. What is the point of all this now??? They (the Trump Aministration) aren't going to take responsibility and accountability of any of their actions and crimes and nothing is going to happen to them anyways they are going to get away with everything and keep doing whatever they want to do.

  2. We believe that time is being wasted by Republicans trying to figure out if we should hang these boat people with a red rope or a green rope. Nobody seems to be putting forward the idea that back "in the day" we used to flag suspect craft down with a siren and/or a loudspeaker command to "Heave to and come about" accompanied with 2-3 seconds of 50-cal 100-200 meters ahead of the boat. This is not some "theoretical outcome," but what both the Navy & the Coast Guard actually did. This administration is lacking the evidence of exogent circumstances requiring the immediate use of deadly force and is instead trying to use its video assets as well as blatant lies by ostensibly lackey public figures to sway public opinion away from what is turning out to be murder on the high seas — with not a hair's breadth of difference from what The United States of America executed Japanese Naval officers for approximately eighty years ago.

  3. Which moron doesn't understand ?! Drug dealers in boats are actually fishermen😢or why would there be satchets in a boat that's doing commercial fishing travelling at such speeds, what fishing is that?

  4. Bring these murderer to the ICJ and ICC, for cold blooded murder and war crimes. Trumpet and Pete Hegseth and all those involved in the murders.
😮😢T😮oo sad those 86 people killed in the Caribbean seas can't witness their murderer receive the BS FIFA PEACE PRIZE with Trumpet 🎺🎺🎺 blood tinted hands.😮😢 Let these 86 people soul haunt him and his evil bunch of evil satanic gang forever and ever. These Western people are getting more and more crazy and satanic.😮😢

  5. Two things can be true you can be a fishermen and a narco terrorist. It's not uncommon for fishermen to be recruited by the cartels for there smuggling operations.

  6. This is awesome! Before this point, Venezuela would not acknowledge the boats came from Venezuela…Now if Trump can VERIFY the boat had drugs, he will be able to declare war…He’s playing chess, they’re playing checkers…

  7. Let’s support drug smugglers so that half of our children can get hooked on drugs and continue to use all the “benefits” of our country. We used to hang people. This is necessary, just like the death penalty. These people don’t follow our laws and please act like we don’t know that. They will plea for help until your daughter is taken or your son is murdered and you will be asking for the death penalty. Or… perhaps… drop a bomb when they are in the water. Send a message save a generation.

  8. Ya I saw the fishing pole in his hand. He was trolling for blue marlin. At 50 mph. Ya have to go fast to catch a marlin. He was obviously fishing that day. Poster boy.? Get the money Dan. We know what you stand for. Ya thay told him it was just

  9. Poor sap fisherman getting sucked in. Liers. Thay dont care about this marlin fisherman. Thats not how you fis for MARLIN. THATS HOW YOU FISH FOR DEMOCRATS. AND LOWLIFES.

  10. People crying over drug snugglers getting instant justice. Forget the cost of trials and prisons. Send them to the bottom of the icean, that's a proper deterrent.
The only logical teason people eould complain about this is because they're cocaine fiends who are just unhappy because the prices eill rise, or they won't be able to score. 😢
