But future generations never vote in the present, so their interests don’t count. As for Venezuela—maybe it was better off before it found its way into the socialist funhouse, maybe not. Either way, it’s their mess, not ours. Yet here we are, chest-deep in it because a man with a gold-plated ego can’t resist a resource grab. Trump’s either lying, deluded, or both—greed is the only part that’s consistent. With any luck, Congress will remember what a spine is and pull the plug on this whole misadventure.
