Kagame: ‘Never seen this much attention’ to ending Africa war | The Bottom Line

US diplomacy under President Donald Trump has a bigger chance of success because it focuses on transactional deals that “translate into improvements of people’s lives” instead of “theories about democracy, freedom and human rights”, argues Rwandan President Paul Kagame.

Kagame, who has led Rwanda for more than 30 years, tells host Steve Clemons that he’s “never seen the level of focus, attention, energy and pressure” that the US president brought to the conflict between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, which led to the signing of a tentative deal between the two sides in Washington on December 4.

  1. But the Drcongo president is a child in thinking if he himself Mixed army and civilians with guns did he think he can win the war while using civilians to fight this is the same thing happened in Rwanda in 1990 Habyarimana have given weapons to civilians too which caused his fall we thank President Kagame for the decision made to stop these useless people from Kinshasa

  2. This proves how much Kanga have no conscience when it comes to Africa problems he's small head only sees Rwand as if Rwanda will live without other African countries. Im so disappointed. It has also proves that there's no leader in DR Congo . Where's African leaders? Is this means that African have no capacity of understanding the systems that has been made against them? Or maybe Africans are not complet humans being enough ?

  3. we Rwandans we died once and we will never accept to fall back in tragedy we had passed through during Genocide killed more than millions of Tutsi. we are responsible to protect and defend our nation none to do it except we Rwandans. .. live longer his excellent Paul Kagame may God keep and protect you

  4. A Criminal that should never have been given such a privilege to speak to the medias. This is an insult to the millions of Souls and blood on his shoulders even with the supports of NATO comanded by the same USA.

  5. Its sad that the 2 African leaders couldn't resolve this crisis alone or with the help of the african union. Now it looks like America has the voice they can listen to, yet the same American leader is the one saying there is a genocide in South Africa. What is the Americans interest in this crisis and why would one not suspect that they were the one fuelling the crisis & now are having a change of position because their ship may be sinking. Integrity and honest is a rare quality.

  6. No peace deal, 😂 but a transactional mineral deal. Why is he not intervening because war has broken down again. Making peace deal and leave out thenmain drivers of this conflict and going about a peace deal that has been signed. Shame on our African leaders. Selling the only mineral resources that should be enriching our African countries and their nations. Shame and a disgrace.

  7. Paul Kagame never answered any questions 😮😢😢😢 He considered himself so smart and capable of manipulating every situation to his favor. He previously said that he's not in DRC. We, well, know that Kabila, James Jabarebe, Azarias, Nyarukabu, and Muangatchoutchou were put in DRC by Paul Kagame. One thing he needs to know is that the darkness will not rule forever.

  8. Does anyone here understand how much time and investment it takes to start and operate a mineral refining facility? You would be insane to invest in that if you weren't confident in long term peace. People just blind hate Trump, the propaganda is too dank 😢

  9. This guy kagame said he is not involved, why was he sitting in that chair signing deals, he knows nothing about, or was he forced? The devil in Africa is kagame, he has trooops in Mozambique, check him out… You will see there's no peace where you find his soldiers

  10. Tutsis e utus the presenter says everything… Kagame and mobutu have got the same tribe… and the ocidente are feeding this tribe war… make business directly with tshisekedi… and the problem Will BE solved

  11. I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones, for when human intelligence is used to perfect destruction rather than wisdom, progress collapses, and humanity is reduced to its most primitive state.

  12. If the president of DRC is doing right thing for his people the issue shouldn’t have been taken to US to be resolved yet we have Africans leaders who discuss the matter but his trying to play high steak cards.
