Over a thousand Zimbabweans intercepted leaving SA

The South African National Defence Force has intercepted more than a thousand Zimbabwean nationals who were attempting to cross illegally back into Zimbabwe during the festive period. The SANDF’s Major Carl Lewis says they were intercepted during deployments at multiple hotspots. The foreign nationals were handed over to the relevant authorities and no injuries were reported during the operations. SANDF members have been strategically deployed across several regions to ensure border security plus law and order.

  1. Very interesting 🧐. They were leaving the country; as in going away … but, congratulations 🎉, galant and ever vigilant border patrols stopped them, and brought back to be housed, fed, clothed, and treated by relevant SA authorities (aka taxpayers) … Ok 👍

  2. How can you intercept some1 who willingly leave south Africa back to their homeland
Now they are illegal in South Africa. Why not leave the people to go back home. How confused can 1 b to allow an undocumented person to return to his own country

  3. Just like the 1170 who where caught trying to enter SA with their families, also the thousands exiting the country were on their way to assist brothers , sisters and everyone to come to SA before the tough immigration act is enacted. Thousands are still coming if you don't know what has been happening in US with the large convoy of illegal immigrants, we are in for a tough ride also.
