14 South Africans to be deported from Thailand

Fourteen South Africans in their early 20s who were recruited for employment in Thailand and are now being detained in that country, are due to be deported back to South Africa. This was confirmed by Department of International Relations and Cooperation spokesperson, Chrispin Phiri. The youngsters were allegedly recruited by a South African man for employment in the IT sector. However, some allegedly ended up performing scamming activities, while others were allegedly deployed to the military. According to a family member of one of the South Africans, they had been refused any form of communication with the outside world and were being detained in inhumane conditions.

  1. URGENT PRESS RELEASE

Subject: Violation of International Law and Interference in Somalia’s Internal Affairs.

I express my deep concern regarding the recent visit of Israel’s Foreign Minister to Somaliland. This action constitutes a clear breach of international law and represents a direct provocation against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

With full respect for the rule of law, this development raises serious concerns about violations of Somalia’s Constitution and appears aimed at undermining the country’s internal political stability. Such actions risk fueling unrest and destabilization at a time when Somalia continues its efforts toward peace, unity, and state-building.

Interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state is unacceptable and directly undermines international norms, peace, sovereignty, and constitutional order.

I urgently call upon the international community to strongly condemn these violations and to reaffirm its commitment to respecting Somalia’s sovereignty, independence, and internal political processes.

    By, Omar Farah,
    Citizen and peace Activist.
