The U.S. Military operation in Venezuela has many still on edge about flying in and out of the Caribbean this winter. Many travelers NBC 10 spoke with on Monday said they’re staying in the states.
“We got families here and I wouldn’t want to take a chance,” said Brenda Briere of Lincoln. “ I know that there are people out there that will still travel and say whatever happens happens, but at the same time you have people that want don’t want to take that chance.”
The operation disrupted travel for thousands over the weekend.
Following the strike on Saturday, the FAA imposed temporary airspace restrictions that affected those flying in and out of the Eastern Caribbean region.
