Pan-African Movement Sounds Alarm on Uganda’s 2026 Elections

In this powerful press statement, the Pan-African Movement raises the alarm over Uganda’s January 15, 2026 General Elections.

Drawing on documented evidence, the Movement highlights escalating electoral violence, targeted exclusion of opposition candidates, abuse of judicial processes, repression of media and civil society, and the growing role of military forces in civilian political space.

The statement calls on Ugandans to vote peacefully while safeguarding their rights, demands immediate de-escalation by state authorities, and urges the international community to stand in principled solidarity with the people of Uganda.

This is not only a Ugandan issue—it is a Pan-African democratic concern.

  1. Pan Africa i salute you whole heartedly though in my country BOTSWANA we are not a happy nation but it can not go to that level we see in UGANDA,CAMEROON and TANZANIA . PAN AFRICAN should stand firmly across the BLACK SOIL CONTINENT we are living in SOUTHERN AFRICA but what is happening in East Africa pains us most .Pan Africa must act upon this without fear or favour, MOSEVENI can not be wacthed turning Africans in captive simple because they voice out for their FREEDOM hense he put his family members foremost than voters .

  2. Thank you for standing in solidarity with Uganda and for speaking boldly against evils happening in our country Uganda which are orchestrated by dictator, General Museveni.

  3. The problem affecting us in Uganda is that the elderly are not willing to let the brilliant young generation take-up leadership. It is tight for them to face it off with the brilliant young people and as a result, the elderly are using whatever it takes to oppress the Youths. GOD SAVE UGANDA
