Africa Matters: South Sudan Jonglei Offensive

The South Sudanese army has started a major offensive in opposition-held areas in Jonglei state. But there are concerns that civilians could be caught in the crossfire. In eastern DRC, the government and the M23 rebels are blaming each other for not protecting the minority Tutsi community known as the Banyamulenge. Recent storms have destroyed many roads in Eswatini, cutting off villages from markets, schools and clinics. But a group of engineers is hoping to change that with climate-resilient bridges.

  1. Surely all these chaos exert their weight appropriately on General Dr. Riek Machar Teny who is very chauvenistic with his Phd title hence disrespecting the People's chosen leader H.E General Salva Kiir Mayardit…i remember "A LITTLE BIT"* of Dr.Riek's education background in Southern East African Nations of Uganda and Tanzania.
Hope my childhood dream is fulfilled if not then i must have made myself clear …I did not do these for money but for what had happened…mbu for money!
    Now how much????
Also a subtle man like Scarified Deng ( W.E )must have hom.,oopsđŸ«ąđŸ˜ŒđŸ˜ŒđŸ˜

  2. I think dailogue in South Sudan can not work because several times the government of South Sudan have broken the agreement in order to stay in power without voting.
The international community should help the people of South Sudan to exercise their civic right to begin to choose their leaders by voting not by guns.

  3. Am in Ethiopia đŸ‡ȘđŸ‡č southern sudan
I'm like all Africa people the go in juba city analysis issue in juba

  4. The SPLA/M-IO group is on a mission to loot civilian resources and nothing else. Their claimed agenda of regime change is merely a prototype but their core motive is to plunder civilians and kill them.
These rebels should be dealt with by the government, even though the government itself has failed the country too!

  5. South sudan is a cursed country with endless wars and conflicts through out its existence and its people are languishing in refugees camps in neighboring kenya with no end in sight that's the fate of many african countries ruled by power hungry leader like the one in south sudan

  6. More then of years crisises increase , and Regional and International Communities still talking about peace. And they put the blinds eye on the innocent people of South Sudan.
