Deputy Defence Minister Bantu Holomisa says the SANDF’s looming deployment to parts of Gauteng and the Western Cape, is aimed at supporting law enforcement in tackling illegal mining and stabilising crime hotspots.

Can't we have a unit in SANDF who are trained to protect civilians?
Good news for our country
At Last ๐ข
We need to get ready for the cutest mix massalq
Didnt they try this before ? Never worked did it ? Funny how all the criminals have guns but the hard working citizens don't . This is as that man said a plot by the anc.
Uplift Back and colored people and communities. Institute land reform to give us our land back that was taken during forced removals and given to whites. Why do they get to keep our land? If we don't do that crime is going to get worse until the whole country is in flames and everyone loses and the army won't make any difference.
Holomisa is well knowledged to be Defence Minister and has a good heart too, and is not corrupt
Stop voting the DA or keep on complaining๐ข
But also we need understand as citizens of this Country that we also have a role 2 play, if they try 2 assist us,same as us we have a responsibility 2 change our lifes n 2 develope our communities.actually change comes from an individual not the Govenment their role is 2 assist us 2 make a better change.
Anything which saves lifes and kill the thugs is welcome
People will never be satisfied
Praying for peace and stability in our country….i trust the army, police always make criminals aware when raids will be conducted.
Give that man a fish ๐
But Njengele it is not only about who brings drugs into the country, but also who and how many illegal plots and other hidden houses that manufacture drugs within the country? I stand to be corrected though it would be also very helpful to broaden our way of looking deep into this and that would help to try and meet this challenge head on.
Isn't something like this more effective if you don't announce it first?
Very intelligent Holomisa.
Thumps-Up general. Find the root of the problem.
I like the warning don't point guns at our soldiers. An experienced Army General Deputy Defence Minister himself, has spoken.
is this guy related to Dlamini Zuma. i fell asleep. thank the …. hes not president. too slow
Holomisa should be minister of the SANDF
After 6 months of deployment what would happened to this areas? Would the crime has been decreased?
The person who has no clue is precisely Engie Motshekga who mysteriously became the the minister of defense
The assets that are confiscated should be used to assist young, unemployed married couples to move out to areas where they can add value. Maybe with greenhouses and tourism. The backlog for housing is huge in the Western Cape. Houses are also too expensive in the Western Cape. There are many mineral processing engineers sitting at home. Since this is an emergency, the state institutions should prioritize mineral processing applications, especially from junior mineral processing applicants that can utilise the mineral processing assets that are confiscated. The junior plant owners should give 30% to a community trust to help married couples move out to areas where they can generate value. The amount of money that is lost due to illegal mining is alarming. Esimates are around R60 billion.
If he thinks army deployment is going to bring investment to the country… Shame, scripted ANC
The king pins don't stay in areas where their drugs are being sold, they look like business ppl in decent areas like estates that is why police intelligence have to work very hard to come up with information of who these ppl are and where do they stay, the unfortunate part is that we have top police officials working with these drug lords and yhey will know as soon as a plan is in place on how they are going to be tackled, ppl like Matlala told the ppl who went to arrest him that he knew that they were coming, that should tell u exactly how much problem we have in the police.
I agree with the communities of the cape flats oir government deployed the army for years in the DRC but only for n few weeks in our own country
What confuses me is that KZN is labelled the most violent province overflowing with hitmen and guns, yet it never receives army deployment. Is KZN being purposely sabotaged to chase away big business and investors?
