  1. Atp, just do what's best for your people and their culture. Apparently our beloved democracy can be a neocolonial, genocidal, co-opted farce and menace to innocents just like any other system. So do you. Praying for your guys' success; just keep putting your people first and don't ever sell out. We are all watching. Much love from the States. 🙏🏽🖤☮️✌🏽

  2. I'm concerned about the sheer amount of enthusiasm and admiration among Africans in their comments about this dictator. Unfortunately, on this continent, people fail to learn from the mistakes of others, or even their own. Throughout history, there have been many such dictators who charmed people with communist slogans. It always, always, ended tragically for the people under such a dictator.

  3. Great move!

Remember that all the colonizers who brought apartheid, land theft, genocide, and enslavement were DEMOCRACIES.

Why the hell would Africans (or any non-white people) want to be like them?

  4. If you ever wonder how people end up backing authoritarian regimes even as they crackdown on human/civil rights, act against the wellbeing of their people as their country becomes more diplomatically/economically isolated , this regime is a good real time example of that in action. The cult of personality ends up becoming more important than the reality on the ground.
