URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — Leshandra Hayes and Rochell Minor joined WCIA 3’s Mitchell Rife to talk about an upcoming event.

Shop Black Brilliance aims to empower the community and spread the message that anyone can accomplish goals if they set their mind to it. The event will include 15 African American women vendors that people can buy products from.

Community Spotlight: Farmageddon 13 Game Convention

Everyone — men, women and children — are welcomed to come and enjoy this event. Hayes said that next year, they are aiming to expand the event as even more vendors contacted her after this year’s deadline.

The event will take place on May 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Urbana Neighborhood Connections Center located at 1401 East Main Street.
