Nine high school seniors from Black Forest received scholarships.
“Congratulations to an accomplished group of nine high school seniors from Black Forest, who are the 2026 recipients of the Educational Opportunity Foundation of Black Forest Scholarship,” a press release said.
The annual banquet was held at the Black Forest Community Center on April 17 where Lynn Still, EOF’s President, presented each student with $2,500 toward their college education.
Former Commander of U.S. Space Command, Retired General James Dickinson, was this year’s speaker. Scholarship recipients were: Daniel Andersen – High Country Christian Academy, Jameson Davis – Homeschool, Sophie Kalivas – Pine Creek HS, Makayla Mayberry – The Village HS, Hunter Moffat – The Classical Academy College Pathways, Emily Paden – Pine Creek HS, Annette Parker – Pine Creek HS, Lillyana Riker – Colorado Springs Christian School, and Molly Wood – Discovery Canyon Campus.
The Black Forest EOF was founded in 1965 to help support the academic future of local Black Forest students, and relies solely on the generous assistance of local donors to provide these scholarships.
