How Jamaica Rise to the OIL Capital of the Caribbean Explained!

Jamaica just did the unthinkable. A country with ZERO oil wells is now exporting $90 MILLION in fuel to Trinidad & Tobago — the Caribbean’s oil king for 100+ years.

This single deal is rewriting the region’s energy map, and it’s only the beginning.

*The $90M Power Play* — How Petrojam turned Kingston into a marine fuel export hub, shipping VLSFO & HSFO to T&T every month.
*The Caribbean Shock* — Why Trinidad’s opposition called it “embarrassing” and how Energy Minister Stuart Young defended the strategy.
*Jamaica’s Comeback* — From crippling fuel imports to generating $500M+ in exports by refining smarter, not drilling.
*The 7 Billion Barrel Secret* — United Oil & Gas just confirmed thermogenic hydrocarbons offshore. Jamaica’s Walton-Morant block could hold one of the Caribbean’s largest untapped oil provinces.
*What’s At Stake* — Thousands of jobs, energy independence, billions in revenue, and a shot at becoming the true Oil Capital of the Caribbean.

This isn’t hype. It’s geopolitics, economics, and national pride colliding in real time.

Do you think Jamaica will pull this off? Is this smart CARICOM cooperation or a warning sign for Trinidad? Sound off below.

  1. This video is playing on the social and economic competition and antagonism between jamaica and Trinidad.
This leads me to suspect this video is a click bate.
We should be emphasizing this economic cooperation between these two sister countries.
Unity is the way forward for development, not petty island insularity.

  2. I pray to see all this materializing to our benefit and success🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿😊😊😊😊😊 Remember when Simpson-Miller sought a loan from Trinidad their PM told her that T&T was no ATM for JA. I was so very embarrassed. The same PM could see the table turn in another couple years.
