It would be better journalism to acknowledge that Mali security did not improve before the junta, when French and UN troops were in Mali, and that Mali asked them to leave out of frustration.
Deeper relevant question: who is funding these so-called rebel thugs?
As long as they stay there and fight between themselves, i don’t care, but i hope Western and Chinese intelligence agencies are closely watching the situation and will intervene if these groups become a threat to the international community.
