Today, in a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court struck down Louisiana’s congressional map that would have protected the state’s Black voters, eviscerating what’s left of the Voting Rights Act. Janai Nelson, president and director-counsel of the Legal Defense Fund, joins The Weeknight to discuss the decision. She argued the Louisiana v. Callais case before the Supreme Court.
