The Farmington School District is recognizing retiring staff members in May, including Kelli Greif, who is concluding a 33-year career in education.
Greif spent 16 years serving the district’s Black Knight community as an attendance administrative assistant at Lincoln Intermediate School, Truman Learning Center and Farmington High School. Throughout her tenure, she became known as a consistent and welcoming presence for students, staff and families.
Asked how she would like to be remembered, Greif said, “That I was really nice and sometimes a little funny.”
Colleagues say her warmth and sense of humor were matched by a strong commitment to student success. Greif emphasized the importance of attendance, encouraging students to understand that showing up and being present are foundational to their education.
Her parting advice reflects that approach: “It is so easy to be kind to everyone.”
District officials thanked Greif for her decades of service, dedication and positive impact on the school community, and wished her well in retirement.
