  1. For some extra context on this story, South African immigration officials say only 10 of nearly 300 Ghanaians registered for voluntary return were legally living in the country. Home Affairs official Stephen van Neel said most were undocumented, non-compliant, or had overstayed their permits. The development comes amid ongoing tensions in South Africa over immigration, where foreign nationals have faced hostility and accusations of taking jobs meant for South Africans.

  2. All this people were told last year peaceful that they must never come back 2026 they were brave enough to tell us that ayiyi ndao meaning we not going any where now they act like victims ayiyi ndawo now has turned in to victims nonesense

  3. All that gold in Ghana… Gold is highly priced at the moment. Why isn't the Ghanaian government providing jobs for its people, with its high gold reserves.

  4. I mean being in a Country illegally is not okay. I don’t blame South Africans, protect your country. 290 out 300 were there illegally, that’s insane.

  5. @dwnews, if Germany believes it should provide greater support for asylum seekers from Nigeria and Ghana, then perhaps it should take a leading role by accepting and resettling more of them. That would demonstrate Germany's commitment to addressing the challenges faced by those seeking asylum, rather than expecting other countries to bear the responsibility alone.

  6. They. Have. A. Government who. Can. Take care if. Them. Why. Should south africa be. Accountable where we're you when children get drug and raped and kidnapp in. South africa. Where were you when. Our. Cars. Got. Stolen over tge very. Same borders. MOSABIQE ZIMBABWE ETC….

  7. Your "expert" doesnt know what he is talking about. this is not Xenophobia but it is a tidal wave of public opinion which will sweep Pres Ramaphosa and his ANC party out of office. This is generational change in SA. The ANC will be swept into the dustbin of history. Ramaphosa has failed dismally and is being impeached. he may end up in jail.

  8. Ghanians are also deported from USA. No one talks about. Let us talk about. USA… In the United States, ICE primarily refers to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. It is a federal law enforcement agency under the Department of Homeland Security responsible for investigating transnational crime and enforcing immigration laws, including the detention and deportation of undocumented immigrants
