ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — It was an evening full of arts and culture at the Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center in Asheville, as the community celebrated an exhibition opening.
It’s called “Black Mountain Coll(a)ge,” tracing the history and legacy of the collage art medium and method.

The exhibition features more than 40 works from various artists, with more than 100 different artworks throughout the entire museum.
Museum officials hope the new exhibit inspires eventgoers to dip into their artistic side.

“This show, really, I meant to inspire and we want you to come in and think maybe, I could be an artist?’ and if you are an artist… artists that you may never know even made collage,” Black Mountain College outreach manager Kira Houston said.
The exhibition runs now through Sept. 5.
