Tears as 19yr Old South African Lost His Life To Xenophobic Mobs; Thinking He Was A Foreigner

South African police are investigating two separate murder cases following violent anti-immigration protests that erupted in KwaNonqaba and Asla Park, Mossel Bay, in the Western Cape.

The unrest, which reportedly displaced hundreds of residents and led to multiple homes being set on fire, has now taken a tragic turn with the death of 19-year-old Nhlamulo, a South African citizen originally from Limpopo.

According to family members, Nhlamulo was allegedly targeted because he was a Tsonga speaker living in a predominantly Xhosa-speaking community. His death has sparked outrage and renewed concerns about growing xenophobic and tribal tensions amid ongoing anti-immigration demonstrations across South Africa.

Police have opened murder investigations after two bodies were discovered during the unrest, while Public Order Police units remain deployed across the area to prevent further violence.

The incident comes as anti-immigration groups continue nationwide protests demanding stricter immigration enforcement ahead of a controversial June 30 ultimatum directed at undocumented migrants.

Watch this report for the latest developments from Mossel Bay, reactions from residents, and updates on South Africa’s escalating tensions.

  1. Black South Africans reckon that chasing other Africans from their country will solve their social, political and economic problems? With other Africans out SA will become a utopian paradise? Let's see how South Africa fares after June 30. 🤔 Keep your country.

  2. The official report by law enforcement is that your child was a criminal on a criminal trip and fell into a bad wrap through mob justice. He died because he was doing criminal activities, not what is being reported by the mother or the EFF

  3. My south African brothers and sister who do this we are all humans all blacks why are we killing each other like dogs why tint you lineage with blood why why stop and think empathy even dogs are not treated this way imagine this ple 's families watching their loved ones die this way this is wrong
