The Las Vegas Raiders will hold their mandatory minicamp Tuesday through Thursday.

This will be the most important on-field work of the offseason and the last time the team is together before training camp starts late next month as the September 13 regular-season opener against the visiting Miami Dolphins looms.

Here are eight keys to watch:

You can say that Mendoza is the top storyline of every step of this season. The No. 1 overall pick has been running with the No. 3 offense during OTA’s and that will likely be the case during the minicamp. However, it will be interesting to see if Mendoza gets some additional work at some point this week in the team’s final team work before training camp.

While Mendoza is the headliner of the rookie class, there are other draft picks who have a chance to have key roles this season. So eyes will be on defensive back Treydan Stukes, pass-rusher Keyron Crawford, offensive lineman Trey Zuhn, running back Mike Washington and wide receiver Malik Benson among others during this minicamp.

Klint Kubiak’s first minicamp as head coach:

This is Kubiak’s rookie season as a head coach. It will be interesting to see how he runs his camp. Players have said Kubiak and his staff preach urgency Will that this this will be a fast-paced camp. Practice efficiency has been questioned about recent Raiders’ staff. This minicamp can set the tone to a different, better practice approach in 2026.

Will Jermod McCoy participate?

The highly-touted rookie cornerback was not on the field when reporters were present at OTAs the past two weeks. He had been previously doing some things on the practice field. since the Raiders drafted him in the fourth round. He is working through a knee injury with hopes of playing this season, but it’s a process. The key is how much he can do in training camp, but if the highly-skilled McCoy can do some work this week, it would be a good sign.

The Raiders have a new defensive coordinator in Rob Leonard, who had been the team’s defensive line coach. The Raiders are moving to a 3-4 base defense. It will be interesting to see how multiple the scheme is this week.

The Daniel Carlson is over and the kicking battle will be one of the biggest in training camp this year. The competition between veteran addition Matt Gay and heralded undrafted rookie Kansei Matsuzawa AKA The Tokyo Toe truly starts now. It will be interesting to see if one of the two takes an early edge into training camp.

There has been talk and speculation that the Raiders need to add another wide receiver to the mix. The team’s brass has publicly backed the current group. This will will be an indication of how ready this current group and whether the still need to add more to the group.
