The Inter-Ministerial Committee on Migration says it has developed an implementation plan to strengthen migration management. The plan will focus on improved border infrastructure, access to social services, registration of small businesses and informal traders, and a review of asylum and refugee procedures. The IMC unveiled the plan during its media briefing yesterday following its establishment by President Cyril Ramaphosa to coordinate government’s work on migration in South Africa. For more on this we, are now joined by the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Njabulo Nzuza.

Do not l2 this government
Deport, don't arrest the foreign nationals. Arrest the officials who allowed and probably got paid for it!!! Get stronger controls at the border.
That's a wise man speaking plain truth
Create more SA repatriation centres additional to Lindela, that’s where the illegals can be held whilst they await deportation and collection by their governments
But the deportations are not happening because they are working……..they are happening because of the marches. Why is the government doing anything to cause deportations……we need to rest from marches and see the government making things happen
Its illegal 😢when we chase them away but its not illegal when they come to SA without documents. Wow this is South African government.
that it, according to march march what ever its 50% of the pop, you still plenty to do, oh an ask zuma SA wants its stolen money back.

BLOOD IS ALWAYS THICKER THAN WATER. . JUJU IS A FOREIGNER TOO . HE IS NOT A REVOLUTIONARY BUT A POPULIST. UMAFESHINI
They make agreements with the world to destroy South African borders and force foreigners into black communities without their consent but the same government cannot make agreement with South African citizens if they want foreigners or not. This anc government is a home of black Judas iscariots, true black Judas iscariots. The media is compromised and bias. What this cocoa bean is saying is that the ANC serve the globalists agenda not South African citizens. It does matter what South Africans think and feel they will still continue to foreigners access to this and no one can stop them. The same foreigners they pretend to deport today tomorrow they will give asylum status and refugee status into the country
We are most grateful to the Malawian Government for responding to the plight of Malawians in South Africa, without apportioning negative statements against the South African Government. President Mutharika has demonstrated wise statesmanship.
Initially, Malawian nationals migrated to South Africa through the process organized by Witwatersrand Native Labour Association (WENELA).
The second wave of Malawians migrating to South Africa was triggered by President Hastings Kamudzu Banda's ruthless treatment of his rebellious Ministers, most of whom sought asylum in Tanzania and Zambia (Ref.: Book titled "The Rise of Nationalism ic Central Africa – The Making of Malawi and Zambia, 1873-1964, authored by Robert I. Rotberg, 1972).
Dr. Kamudzu Banda's Malawi Congress Party atrociously targeted to torture members of Henry Chipembere's Yao tribe and the Jehovah Witness religious group, who fled to seek refuge status in Tanzania and Zambia, including South Africa.
President Kenneth Kaunda's Government accommodated fleeing Malawians to settle in Zambia where they have been fully integrated with indigenous Zambian populations. For example, for historical reasons, the Yao people feature prominently during the Malaila ceremony of the Kunda in Mambwe District.
Besides, the unique industries in South Africa and its excellent Universities, attracted many migrants from several African countries to move into South Africa.
However, we request Malawians and Zimbabweans to return to their countries without blaming the South Africa's Government which actually provided their much needed humanitarian requisites.
God bless us all.
Tired of the ANC all talk not action. 30 June 26,they should never forget us, they should live to tell a tale of their generations to come
Where is the bright White DA Comrade of Home Affairs???
He was so full of homself after the 2024 elections telling us how he will fix the problem….
Now he is Nowhere to ne seen….he must also go !!!!
Most of these people who are illegal should take the trail of all the corrupt people who got then this far with them.
Thanks for the update. However, I would like to suggest a more balanced and constructive headlines. Rather than using a headline such as "Police clash with Malawian nationals," which may promote division or sensationalize the situation, it might be better to use wording like "Police intervene to restore order" or "Police work to subdue the situation."
A headline should accurately reflect events while helping to inform the public without unnecessarily escalating tensions.
My concern with what this man is saying is stating that the immigrants will simply be staying with the citizens. Have you consulted the citizens on this, bcoz they are the ones who have suffered bcoz of introducing strangers into their communities. As for me, after all has happened in the country the govt must consult citizens regarding whether they want to mix with foreigners or not.
The rot at Home Affairs is so great and need radical intevention.
40 thousand is just a drop in the ocean.
It never happened in the white government, its happening now bcos the govt changed in ter laws

Give the taxi drivers contracts
South African politicians are reckless pertinent to South Africa's social status quo. They don't African citizens including the country's constitution. We as South African citizens, we cannot suffer as a result of bad leadership, corruption and mismanagement of the economy including the maladministration by these fellow African leaders. As South Africans we comply to immigration laws, but a large number of these foreign nationals don't comply, hence they do it deliberately under the watchful eye of their governments, the question l ask how does a citizen leave his or her own country without proper travelling documents?
On the part of South African politicians especially from those in government such as ministers in various ministries have deliberately compromised the system for some illegal gains, unfortunately this is at the detriment of the country as now the country's safety and security has been weakened as a result of porous borders. This has exposed South Africa to be vulnerable of terrorism. The worrying factor is the numbers of border management personnel, that is, 800 immigration officers, 182 police personnel policing a population of 55 million. The high level of corruption and maladministration in some departments such as the dep of labour where the monitoring of labour laws compliance by employers who are employing undocumented immigrants is not taken seriously. The corrupt activities happening within the department of home affairs in issuing frodulent ID documents, frodulent marriage certificates including frodulent visas, study permits etc is unbearable; what is most surprising is that some South African politicians are advocating on behalf of these illegal undocumented immigrants who have broken the South African laws that are meant to be respected by South African citizens including none South Africans who are also protected by the very same constitution they have transgressed. The unwillingness of the government to enforcement the law has led to the situation where the ordinary citizens have taken upon themselves to force the government of the day to act. The unfortunate part is that the current status quo has produced deplomatic confrontation with our neighbours and some threatening to lay charges against South Africa to multinational bodies such as AU and UN. Lastly it is imperative that each country's sovereignty to be respected. We cannot allow visitors or strangers to do as they wish in our house. South Africa is our house as much as Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ghana advocate for the respect of their own border, therefore South African borders Should be respected. This is non-negotiable, South Africans cannot be sacrificed on the altar in pretence of false political asylum seekers while being taken advantage of by undocumented economic immigrants and cheap labour immigrants.
What other countries what are they doing about that till our 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 nation to take things on their hands?
South Africans do.you not have .the.Ndebele. the Shangaans the Xhosa etc in Zimbabwe They even own.properties in Zimbabwe instead of chasing Zimbabwean why not white foreigners who are.not Africans at all Your fore father's caused chaos in Zimbabwe by.fighting the peaceful Zimbabweans in the times of Mzilikazi.and.Soshangana
