The New Bern Police Department issued an Amber Alert on Saturday at 8:28 a.m. for 15-year-old Isaiah Kavon Owens. He was abducted by Kenneth Brantley.
Owens is a 15-year-old Black male. He has black hair and brown eyes and is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 100 pounds. He has autism and a speech delay.
Owens was taken from the Palace Motel, located at 1901 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. He was last seen wearing a white hoodie, black pants and red and blue sneakers.
According to New Bern police, Owens and his family were sleeping in the motel room when Brantley and several others knocked on the door around 3:15 a.m. and woke up two teenage boys.
Brantley pointed a gun at the adults in the room and took his son, and Isaiah Owens from the room.
They are believed to be traveling in a Black 2012 GMC Yukon, with South Carolina license plates to his home in Marion, South Carolina. The tag number is XFH-752.
Brantley is a 44-year-old Black male. He has black hair, brown eyes and is 5 feet 2 inches, weighing 162 pounds.
