Burkina Faso’s Ibrahim Traore Pushes Africa To Break Western Economic Chains | Firstpost Africa

Burkina Faso President Ibrahim Traore is reviving a powerful message of African self-reliance, echoing the legacy of revolutionary leader Thomas Sankara. In a fiery speech, Traore called on Africans to break economic, political, and psychological dependence on foreign powers. From food production to gold resources, the Burkinabe leader argued that Africa must control its own wealth and build its own industries. His message reflects a wider Sahel movement, where Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger are pushing for greater control over natural resources and reducing reliance on traditional Western partners. But as Traoré challenges foreign influence, questions remain over whether this new vision can deliver true independence or create new forms of dependency. Alyson Le Grange brings you more on this story on Firstpost Africa.

  2. Traoré is ignorant and spreads ignorance and deception in Africa. The truth is that Islam is peace; it is what freed Africans from slavery.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) explicitly affirmed this principle in his Farewell Sermon:

"Indeed, there is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab, nor for a non-Arab over an Arab, nor for a red/white person over a black person, nor for a black person over a red/white person, except by piety."

You must return the African immigrants currently residing in Arab countries, prioritizing the students who are studying Islamic Law (Sharia).
Vous devez renvoyer les immigrants africains présents dans les pays arabes, en priorité les étudiants qui étudient la charia

  3. Forget vthese Europeans. Afican Americans won 7 70s/80s😊 junior high school chess national championships in a row, 8 in 9 years, because African gentic variability. The same reaason for African/BLACK overrepresentation in the World Cup is the same reason for black ezcellence in academic chess.

  4. But you're embracing imperialism and colonialism. You have government's government systems, banking systems, financial systems, factories, jobs, houses, agriculture and the list goes on. that's colonialism is just part of colonialism. You have armies , you have military weapon , that's colonialism , you've embraced it.

  5. @First Post,
Interesting La Grange today calls capt Traore the president of Burkina Faso and no longer the "Junta"
    This is just the beginning!
All of you mouth piece of imperialism must confess that Africa is Ra-Sing and never to be messed with.
The universe and the ancestors protect this brave hero Capt Ibrahim Traore!

  6. "Stockholm Syndrome" for over two thousand years of control in religions/slaveries/castrations/assassinations/assimilations and psychological effects of trauma/brain on Black People/Africans. What baffled me is that the African leaderships/elites do not see/learn except the AES. Common sense lacking in our imagination. This shows that Black People/Africans stupidity. Give the AES credit for our recognition of psychological effects of trauma on us Black People/Africans. "Africa will not bow!" “AES/Sahel is a refuge for the brave. What we see, hear, and read as awareness and awareness dictates consciousness. Our history must not be hidden to be replaced by religions. That is purpose of religions to hide our history which creates consciousness. Accepting being ignorance/arrogance/stupidity. Must sacrifice for Africa not pity/petty ourselves.

  7. OMG!!! First Post finally delivered a fair and honest report about the AES leaders. Maybe Captain Traore’s messages are finally getting through or first post has decided to not be lazy like western media and actually report honestly for once.

  8. great words from Capitan Presidente Ibrahima Traore when he said down with democracy, choose meritocracy. politicians should be chosen based on proven output, not popularity! down with democracy, choose meritocracy!

  9. lets be honest, to keep export prices down our own leaders are knowingly or unknowingly & unwittingly keeping us down to the benefit of the west. other African leaders should be more like Mr Traore de Burkina Faso

  10. It's obscure how FIRSTPOST avoided one of President Traore's message concerning ISLAM, Sharia Law, and Islamic Extremism. Are you afraid of Islam or a sympathiser? Extremists Islam is a curse on Africa and humanity.
