PHOENIX – Today, Gov. Katie Hobbs visited the Arizona Black Chamber of Commerce’s new Arizona Legacy Center in downtown Phoenix. There she met with Chamber leadership and board members, toured the new space, and marked the launch of her Black Leaders for Katie coalition, a coalition of Arizona’s Black leaders, faith leaders, community members, and elected officials committed to supporting her reelection. Afterward, she sat down for a roundtable to discuss her continued commitment to supporting the business community and minority-owned businesses.

“As governor, I’m proud to support small businesses and the people behind them — including Black entrepreneurs and business leaders who are creating jobs, building wealth, and strengthening communities across Arizona,” said Katie Hobbs. “I’m honored to have the support of Black leaders across our state who share my commitment to lowering costs, expanding opportunity, and making sure every Arizonan has the chance to succeed.”

As governor, Katie has consistently delivered on key issues that matter most: fighting to protect Arizonans from discrimination in schools and the workplace, lowering everyday costs, expanding access to healthcare, and supporting small businesses. She cut taxes every year for middle-class families, veterans, and small businesses, eliminated $1 billion in medical debt for nearly 700,000 Arizonans, and cut prescription costs through the launch of the AZRx program. Katie has also focused on empowering small businesses by launching Talent Ready AZ to help workers build skills and connect with employers, increasing access to childcare for working families, and making it easier for small businesses to access low-interest loans.
