Rise and fall of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei – BBC Africa

Rise and fall of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei – BBC Africa

The video examines Ayatollah Khamenei’s rise to power in 1989 and his role as Iran’s most powerful figure. It details his administration’s actions, including crushing demonstrations and pursuing policies that caused international concern, while also touching on the nation’s nuclear program, offering a deep dive into the Iran politics and Middle East geopolitics that shaped the region. This political analysis provides essential context for understanding the current Iran news and the broader history of Iran, particularly the impact of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Iranian history.

Iran has had only two supreme leaders since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. In 1989, Khamenei succeeded Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, after his death, at the age of 86. Under Khamenei’s rule, Iran sought to establish closer economic relations with African nations, reached out to Shiite communities in Nigeria and became a member of the Brics economic bloc, also comprised of South Africa, Ethiopia and Egypt.

Young Iranians have never experienced life without him in charge.

  1. He was killed by Israel and the US.. he was matryred in his own country while serving his people.. He was a true leader a real hero.. BBC media is well known for its false information and news please do not fall for this propaganda

  2. Ayatollah Khamenai was really good

And those who are listening to this fake BBC are fake themselves

Be aware of who is wrong and who is right

Remember Malcolm x said "The media's the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses… If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing."
These BBC are using the media to control our brains guys open your eyes look at the truth

  3. When Ayyat was there my hopes were dimmed but never did I lose it, someday beautiful that will come and I’ll meet him but now I’m scared all will be gone as well that I will be left alone suffering in the pool of memories. I don’t wish to speak of condolences because I’m afraid if I do I will witness more death and pain., So he is not gone he is just into hiding

  4. I think you need to do more deep research before making documentaries. Incase you need material let me know and I shall send you appropriate articles and books to be read. But you need to stop with the lies

  5. People misunderstand something. Ayatollah is not a dictator. He's more of a caretaker. He doesn't govern. He doesn't dictate policy, at least not directly, like Gaddafi or Saddam. His job is to maintain the value of the revolution. Iranian parliament create policy and govern the state. Ayatollah job is to make sure the policy created stay's align with the Iranian constitution.

  6. Shameful documentary. The protests in The Islamic Republic of Iran were evidently always designed by the Zionist regime and the the other satan, United States. The beloved Iranian nation loved their supreme leader as their father and were committed to their faith and hijab as are committed today, not surrendering in front of the 2 great satans, despite of many sanctions and the loss of enormous leadership. May the truth flourish as well. Long Live Iran..!
