Africa CDC chief says he’s in ‘panic mode’ after Ebola outbreak in Congo and Uganda



The absence of approved therapeutics or vaccines for the Bundibugyo virus, a rare variant of the Ebola disease, has caused concerns among health authorities in Africa amid the active cases. Dr Jean Kaseya, the Director-General of Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, emphasized the need of manufacturing vaccines and medicines in Africa.
