Ibrahim Traoré’s Powerful Message to Africa There Is No Neutrality

Captain Ibrahim Traoré delivered one of his strongest Pan-African speeches yet, addressing a delegation of Pan-Africanists from 22 African countries following the presentation of the Manifesto for a New Pan-Africanism.

In this powerful address, the President of Burkina Faso speaks about the future of Africa, the importance of sovereignty, the role of African youth, and the need for Africans to unite around a common vision of development and self-determination.

Traoré argues that Africa must create its own political, economic, and social models rather than relying on systems inherited from outside powers. He calls on Africans to rediscover their history, strengthen cooperation among nations, support local production, and build a continent capable of standing on its own.

The speech also pays tribute to the legacy of Thomas Sankara, discusses the challenges facing Africa today, and emphasizes the importance of communication, education, and consciousness in shaping the next generation of African leaders.

Whether you agree with every point or not, this speech has generated significant discussion across Africa and among supporters of Pan-Africanism worldwide.

  1. Ibrahim Traoré says Africa's future depends on unity, sovereignty, local production, and a new generation of conscious Africans.

Do you think Africa needs a new Pan-African movement to achieve these goals?

  2. Everything is fine but this is not a revolution, as it retains previous property relation or relation of production.
This is what we saw in Chile (Allende), Burkina Faso (of Thomas Sankara), present Venezuela. They all preserved private property, that is capitalism.
We did not learn from Paris Commune, on which Marx and Engels have written, explaining what is dictatorship of the proletariat and why it is necessary, as an interim period, to build socialism, leading to communism.
Patriotism, anti imperialist outburst or movement s not leading to the proletariat revolution unless we establish of socialism, after expropriating the capitalist class and socialising then (initially by the proletariat state).
Nonetheless, we support AES, as anti imperialist block, and, Communist Parties in Africa and in the rest of the world, in their fight for socialist revolution.
