Ten undocumented foreign nationals arrested in Pretoria inspection blitz

Ten undocumented foreign nationals and their employers were arrested during a multidisciplinary blitz inspection targeting labour and immigration law violations in Pretoria.

The operation, led by officials from the Departments of Home Affairs and Employment and Labour, together with the South African Police Service (SAPS) and Tshwane Metro Police, focused on enforcing compliance with labour and immigration legislation at several companies, including Korteks Textiles Africa and AMKA Products.

Deputy Ministers Jomo Sibiya and Njabulo Nzuza say sustained operations of this nature are intended to discourage employers from hiring undocumented foreign nationals who do not possess scarce skills, while helping to curb illegal immigration.

SABC News senior reporter Ofentse Setimo and video journalist Thabo Mtshweni compiled this report.

  2. Owk! During protests you Media defend foreign nationals and attack those who organize marches , after matches you export about them. You all are confusing

  3. Asians so-called employers who stubbornly employ illegal foreign nationals ttheir businesses should be closed down and be free to follow their favourite employees back home to their countries

  4. 😂😂😂😂 Who will be blamed after this for the country's state😂😂😂😂😂😂. Wonder when black south africans will blame themselves

  5. Department of labour in South Africa was sleeping on the job too!
Some of the labour Inspectors take bribes from employers!
Corruption is deep in South Africa , and it's a market place in all the government offices !
While the country is dying slowly , our grandchildren will end up with no country, Period! With this rate of corruption in government and private sector !

  6. Jacinta, the Antichrist, has truly managed to reveal who her contemporaries are: so much hypocrisy, bad character, envy, and lack of manners. She has simply exposed what was hidden and shown the true face of many lazy South Africans. Of course, not all of them, but a large number seem to have serious problems. They need education, they need to go to school, broaden their minds, and stop being stubborn, ignorant, and empty-minded. They need to stop being envious and understand that achieving a better life requires hard work and education, not laziness. Everyone who has more than you do has a vision they worked hard and studied. Nothing simply fell from the sky. Understand that once and for all. If you want to achieve the same, you only need to do the same.

  8. Can they please come to Standerton, they are lot's of seemiler companies, fuel stations, shops and supermarkets, the department of labor here is very corrupted ,thinking bribes instead doing they work properly.

  9. That's what the illegals like, being treated like slaves like that. The most painful thing is to think that they work for years and they have no benefits like pension or gratuity at least. No medical or funeral expenses for them. That is why South Africans don't want hiring and training South Africans. That's corruption.
