HIGHLIGHTS FROM TODAY’S SHOW:
Brutal end to kidnap ordeal: Gunshot wounds to the head— kidnapped victim murdered after $15,000 ransom paid, found by Gardner at Heights of Guanapo
• Police have launched a homicide investigation after the body of 35-year-old Kerry Von Adams of Piarco Old Road, Red Hill, D’Abadie was discovered on Monday morning in a remote, vegetated area behind a house at Heights of Guanapo, Arima.
• Adams had been reported missing on Sunday 6th July, 2025, and was reportedly the victim of a kidnapping, for which a $15,000 ransom had allegedly been paid.
• Around 9:50 a.m. on Monday 7th July, a man spraying grass in his garden made the gruesome discovery and contacted police via the 999 emergency number.
• First responders from the Northern Division Task Force North arrived around 10:40 a.m. and found the body of an African male, dark complexion, bald head, Muslim-style beard, dressed in black three-quarter pants and a green and blue striped long-sleeve polo jersey. The body was lying on its back, with the left leg outstretched and the right bent at the knee.
• The District Medical Officer examined the body and found two gunshot wounds to the head and one to the abdomen.
• Investigators recovered three spent 9mm shells—two marked “CBC 9mm Luger” and one marked “FC 9mm Luger”—as well as a black long-sleeve jersey. The scene was processed and the body was removed.
• Officers from the Arima CID, Homicide Bureau, and senior ranks responded, including ASP Victor, W/Insp Sylvester, Insp David, Sgt De Suze, Sgt Ramjohn, W/Sgt Davis, and Cpl Bushell.
Cousins found murdered near vehicle in St. Mary’s Moruga.
The deceased are 19-year-old Josiah Carthy and 20-year-old Seon Carthy.
• Both were last seen liming together on Sunday night. Their bodies were discovered by a farmer early on Monday July 7th, 2025. They were both shot to death.
