Chad has become the latest African nation to kick French troops off its territory. Chad tore up a defence agreement with France yesterday. Chad says it is protecting its sovereignty. Chad was France’s last stronghold in the Sahel. There are 1,000 French troops stationed in Chad. Now they will have to leave. And things might get worse for Paris soon. Another former colony, Senegal, has also said that it wants to oust the French soldiers on its soil.
